Stopped in Seattle, before and after the Alaskan Cruise

Pikes Market in Seattle

On the morning before the cruise, we stopped at Pikes Market. I just love that place. Harry and I had been there 19 years ago. I love all the beauty of the flowers and fruits and veggies. Love the aromas (not the fishy ones)  coming out of all the restaurants and bakeries, love people watching and loved the crabcakes I had for breakfast. I will share the photos with you!

This is the place where they throw the fish if you order one. They even threw the tshirt we ordrered and sang a chant. Harry had bought one 19 years ago but it fell apart, so he bought 2 of them this time!

Here is our ship, all ready to board at 11 am. It sailed at 4 pm.

All ready to board with our new Vera Bradley Luggage. I bought this for my daughter and myself right after I earned the trip with my Founder's Circle and Demonstrator of the Year bonus money. We don't travel light do we! We stayed at the Marriot Waterfront Hotel, across from Pier 66 and they carry your luggage over for you!

Ready to go and relax and have a nice vacation. Thank you, Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up 2011 Alaskan Cruise "Pillow Gifts"!

I love my Stampin' Up Pillow Gifts!!!
Stampin' Up really knows how to spoil us and is the most generous company!

Before we left I ordered a jacket for the trip from Stampin' Up! I love this thing. It was warm when you needed to be warm and cool when you wanted to be cool! I lived in this jacket as you will see in almost every photo!

My well worn and well loved coat!

Before we left Stampin' Up sent us a very nice packet with our name tags, darling luggage tags and our tickets. Here is the little case. Check out the little rubber stamp logo!

First night Pillow Gift was fantastic! Check out this darling little purse! It was so handy! I never needed a purse on the trip after receiving this gift. My kids used their back packs in town for shopping so that left me hands free and happy! It stood for our "Packsack" for the Journey ahead. Everything was packaged in little canvas bags with drawstrings. I love my little bag!

Next night was "Two Sets of Protective Eyewear" for ourselves and our guests. Maui Jim Sunglasses!

We got a little packet filled with "Gold Nugget" Candies and it had a "Claim Ticket". We had to go down the next morning to claim our goods and it was a darling Album from the 2011-2012 Catalog- no peeking! It was tied with some new ribbon too!  I had to photograph the gifts carefully as to not give away any details!

Ahhh, now comes another great one- A Fuzzy Warm Blanket! My daughter claimed that right away! This photo shows both sides of the blanket and the darling little logo stamp. Isn't Stampin' Up the best!!

Next night yielded a great claim! A bag full of goodies to use during our Make and Takes. I'm not telling but it was a nice surprise!

Next night we had more candies in our little bags with a claim ticket. We went down the next morning and spun the wheel for a prize. I got a darling Stamp Set from the new Catalog and was very pleased! Can't show the stamp set just yet!

Thank goodness the last night's gift was small in size because we had already packed before we took off for Victoria for the evening.
It was a sweet little Mickey Charm with a note that said,
"May your dreams comes true. See you in 2012"
This was for the Disney trip, however I have not earned that trip, but I am so glad I earned Alaska !

Also, each day we got to go down to the Hospitality room and spin a wheel for a gift. I forgot the first day but the other days I got ribbon and some brads and some of our Home Decor' product.

Thank you, Stampin' Up! for the great gifts and fun times.
Stay tuned for the next few days to see highlights of the trip!

What no Cruise Photos!!

We are back from the Stampin'Up Cruise to Alaska!
What a blast we had.

I earned the trip for two and then bought 2 more tickets so our entire family could go. The kids worked very hard to get their homework completed ahead of time and to make up "seat time" before they went, but what an educational experience it was!

I know you all stopped by to see my photos but guess what! I did not take any!
But guess what again! My husband and daughter had their cameras in front of their faces 24/7 and were taking the same photos so I figured we did not need 3 of the same thing!

We got tons of great Cruise "Pillow Gifts" from Stampin' Up and  I will take photos of those today and post them. I should have done that when I got the gifts but I was so excited!

If you want to see my photos, please leave a comment and I will post them if there is an interest!

Thanks for "crusin" on by!

Flower Garden Card

Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by. I am late with my post today because I was out having a Shih Tzu party!! You see I met this really nice girl last week who stopped me because I was walking my dogs. I have a Shih Tzu and a Cava Tzu and I take care of a baby Shih Tzu. Well we have been meeting and taking the pups for a walk. I always have 2 out of 3 with me and sometimes all 3. Today we took a nice walking trail and came back to my house and let all 4 dogs romp. So I am late with my post. Here ya go:

The other day I made up a ton of cards using the new Beyond the Garden Designer Paper and the Fabulous Florets stamp set. I made this one pretty simple with no sentiment yet but I did use the new Embossing Folder called Flower Garden. It is so pretty and so inexpensive!  I used our cheery Daffodil Delight Cardstock and Ribbon and added some of our Basic Pearls. Very easy and very pretty.  I have not chosen a sentiment yet but this is such an all purpose card.

And the inside is done with the Flower Garden Embossing Folder. Isn't it pretty! We also have three new gorgeous colors of embossing powder that you could use along with this!

I hope you enjoyed today's post. I love your comments. They keep me producing more cards!!

Have a Happy Cinco de Mayo !! Please stop by and tell me something fun you did today!

The Earth Laughs in Flowers~Stampin' Up Summer Mini Catalog

Wow, was I productive today! My downline, Patty came over to make cards and I pulled out my new Summer mini products and had a blast!
I only used a few materials and some Card Stock that I had around.
From the Fabulous Florets Stamp Set and the Beyond the Garden Designer Paper I whipped out 6 new cards with a ton more ideas in my mind! Here is my 1st card. Please excuse the photo, my camera is not charged.

This card is a 5x5 made with Pacific Point Textured Cardstock .
The next layer is made with one of the designs from Beyond the Garden Designer Paper.
I just LOVE this paper!
The next layer is made with Pacific Point using the Scalloped Square Sizzix Die and then a touch of the gorgeous Wild Wasabi and another layer of Pacific Point. I like lots of layers on my cards, just like I like a lot of patterns of sheets on my bed!

The Sentiment and Flowers are  from Fabulous Florets Stamp Set and are stamped in Pacific Point Classic Ink.
I cut some of the Flowers out to make them pop and added some of our Basic Pearls- just love those things!!
Very easy and very fun card to make!

This is a MUST HAVE Stamp Set and Paper Pack!

To order any of the supplies, please click HERE and go to Products, Shop Now and then Summer Mini Catalog.
Thanks for looking and thanks to those who leave comments! I love them!

Strength and Hope~Breast Cancer Research

I just LOVE our new stamp set called Strength and Hope.
Stampin' Up! is donating $2 from this purchase to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. BCRF is dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime by funding clinical and translational research worldwide. For more information about BCFR, visit www.bcrfcure.org.

Here is an easy card I made for a friend of mine. She is not going through Breast Cancer but her teenage daughter is going through an illness. I sent the card to my friend to keep her spirits up. Then I made one for my neighbor who is a recent widow and was worried about losing her job.  This stamp set is great for so many things. I just love the sentiment.
