Good morning to all of my friends in bloggyland.
I would like to take this time to reflect on the past week.
2 of my friends lost their dad/husband
1 of my club customers lost her mom and another had a baby that needed surgery.
1 of my dear blogging friends, Summer lost her dad to a battle with Cancer. Summer, I love you!
Dear ^Sweet Ethan^ lost his battle with Cancer.
I pray for him, his sister, Sierra, his mom, Amy and his cousin Kristen who I met through her blog, spreading the word about Ethan.
Dear Kristen, thank you for emailing me through all of this. I am taking Ethan's death hard.
I want to thank Audrey and Kim for checking on me with emails during this time and going through this as well.
I want to thank EVERYONE who made cards for dear Ethan.
I hurt for all of my friends for their losses.
I had a hospital procedure and though it was nothing serious it put me out of pocket for three days. I am just staring to feel back to normal and reality.
I want to express a "shout out" to my friend and customer KIM, who helped me through the physical pain I had yesterday. I also want to tell Kim, I am there for you too!
I think we are all "tight" in this Crafting World and I want to express my best wishes to two dear Crafters:
Monique is having her double Masectomy today and
Brenda from Bren's Designs is having hers tomorrow.
These women are both fighters and I know they will come through. Many prayers being sent their way.
I also have some VERY close people to me fighting Cancer right now and it sucks!
On a lighter note, I would like to send a "shout out" to my dear friend and customer, Ruth, better known as Cricoholic, whose humor never fails to make me laugh. Late last night she sent me a photo of her new Craft room paint color. She took a swatch of our Stampin' Up Garden Green to the paint store and now her room is SU Garden Green!! Got to love her! She is a true SU addict.
Oh and on a happy note, I would like to thank my customer Janie, for signing up under me as a new demonstrator. Good luck, Janie!
I have so many Sympathy cards to make today and one Birthday card for my best friend, Melanie and two get well cards for Monique and Brenda. Thinking about all the losses this week makes me so sad, but one thing about making cards is you can pour your LOVE into them and I will do just that!
Please have a nice day! :)
I would LOVE to hear what you are up to today! I hope it is a good one:)
For those of you new to my site, I retired as a a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator

My Stampin' Up Fall Workshop
Today is my Fall Workshop day!
Here are some of the things we will be making. The Halloween cards were ideas I revamped from other demonstrator's cards. We have a Stampin' Up site just for demonstrators to share their cards and if we use their ideas, we are "casing" them.
This darling card is "cased" from Maryjo Monterosso. I added the Black Lace Ribbon and the Scalloped Square Punch. Love this ribbon from the Mini Catalog.
Stamp Set is Wicked Cool and paper pack is Wicked Fun Specialty Designer Paper pack.
This one is "cased" from Dawn Griffith. I just love it but changed it out and used Razzleberry Cardstock ( don't you love to say that word- razzleberry) and used our Spider Web embossing Folder. I love the changed look it gives with the spider web embossed into the, say it with me, "Razzleberry" Cardstock! The stamp set used was Dark and Dreary. Love this stamp set!
Here is a very simple Thanksgiving card using stamps from the new Day of Gratitude Stamp Set. Seasonal Sentiments Stamp Set is used for the inside greeting.
And a little Thank You note to attach to a Hostess Gfit. Both cards use Autumn Spice Specialty Designer Paper. Early Expresso, Very Vanilla, and Cajun Craze Cardstock give it a special "Fall" touch.
Our really neat punch, Decorative Label Punch, from the Mini Catalog is used and I backed it by punching out two more punches and then cutting and placing behind the stamped punched out one. Curly Cute Stamp Set is used for the Sentiment.
Check back later for photos from the workshop!
Edit- the photos of the ladies at the workshop turned out all blurry. What troupers they were though. We had a tornado blow thew here 15 minutes before the workshop was to start but they all showed up! Rain or shine we had a fine time!
All highlighted items are from Stampin' Up! If you would like to place an online order, please go to
http://www.snowmanlover.stampinup.net and click on Products and Shop Now!

Hybrid Cards
HI, I feel almost back to myself today after hearing that Ethan is doing better for now. The other night I was so upset and was stuggling to make him a card and just couldn't get with it so I made him one digitally. Then I made my sister a birthday card too, while I was in there.. I hope they like
The paper, sentiment, stitching, scallops and owl, basically everything are done digitally. The ribbon is retired Kiwi/Very Vanilla, one of my favorite ribbons. On Ethan's Halloween card, the ribbon is real and the bat is from our bat punch. Both cards are backed on Tangerine Tango and Basic Black Cardstock. The printed paper is from My Digital Studio.
I am going to get back into doing some things digitally and like the "hybrid" look.
Tomorrow is my Fall Workshop. I was so upset all day yesterday but did manage to get my four projects ready for the girls on Saturday. Stay tuned, please, for some really fun cards! I already pre-posted it and it will display tomorrow morning.
Have a great day!

Just heard from Ethan's mom
Oh I can't tell you how much better I feel. You see I have been emailing Ethan's mom off and on. She just sent me an email saying she had not posted an update yet but she knew I would be glued to my computer until she did and knew it was getting late. Was that not the sweetest thing to do. Here she is in the ICU with her very sick little boy and took the time to write me, a stranger, a note to tell me that Ethan is doing better today and give me the info on his condition. Let's keep the prayers coming.
Here is his Caring Bridge Page:
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/ethansmith/journal
Hopefully she will be posting today soon so you can all see. I am hoping his goodie basket arrives tomorrow. I sent it to New Hampshire but the hospital is in Boston.

Still waiting to hear
Still waiting to hear about little Ethan. I am on pins and needles today and glued to the computer to wait for his Caring Bridge page.
Here are some of the goodies I sent to him and his sister. They should arrive by Saturday. He is in ICU now and in critical condition. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/ethansmith/journal

Good morning friends,
I am not really in the mood to say much today. I am worried sick about that little boy, Ethan, the one whose Caring Bridge Page I follow. Please send lots of prayers his way. His mom's entry today just breaks my heart and I will be on pins and needles until I hear more : http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/ethansmith/journal
I have to make two Sympathy cards today for a friend and her mom and a baby shower card for a friend. I was going to make Ethan another Halloween card but am going to put that off for now. I sent him a big box of Halloween goodies and a card yesterday. It should arrive by tomorrow or Saturday. I have to prepare my four cards for my next workshop and am just not in the mood.
For now, please just send prayers their way for Amy, Ethan and Sierra.
Thank you
