Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Petal Pizzazz!!!

I woke up this morning and just had to make this card. This past week my son was home sick. He spent a lot of time sleeping on our bed. I spent a lot of time watching him sleep and staring at his gorgeous little face. But I also noticed our bedspread had some really pretty colors in it and the wheels in my head got to turning. The colors of my bedspread inspired me to make this card.
I used Petal Pizzazz Stamp set, which I totally LOVE! I just got it and have a million ideas for it!

I also used Certainly Celery, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink Cardstock and the Write Stuff Designer Paper for the Olive Polka Dot paper.
The inks used were:
Rose Red
Pretty in Pink
Old Olive
So Saffron
Brilliant Blue {retiring)and
Certainly Celery which was also stamped on the Certainly Celery Cardstock for a monochromatic effect.

Topped it off with a Rose Red 1 inch ribbon. I love this Ribbon!

I left it sentiment free until I know who I will use the card for. The inside is decorated as well.

I love this stamp set!!!

Isn't it funny how little things can inspire us!
Have a Happy Mother's Day!

Flower Power Workshop!!

Wow we had a busy workshop today!!  We made these darling Flower Pot cards, directions are on Split Coast Stampers.
We made one card using the Petal Pizzaz Stamp Set. It is the cutest stamp set !!  I just got it and love it!  I mounted it for use on our Acrylic blocks.  I just had to have it (!) and designed my Workshop around it.
The other Flower Pot card was made using several Sizzix Dies that we sell and Razzelberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. We also did a third project but I did not get a photo of it. I also did not get Kerry or Patty in the photo. Round two of this workshop will take place next week because I can't fit everyone in at once! My friend Essie, ended up staying for more card making and dinner. My husband whipped up a great dinner and we dined outside and then came in to some chocolate covered strawberries that he also whipped up for us. Essie whipped up some fun cards with my Petal Party Card Kit she got after class. It was a fun day!

Card made with Petal Pizzaz Stamp Set

Card Made with Island Floral Die. I later sponged these and added a cute little tag to the ribbon

Inside of the card. These are great for gift cards!!

I bought the stamp set but mounted it for use for Acrylic Blocks and store it in our CD cases.

Also for those of you that are following my personal blog, it has been an entire month but I finally posted on "Barb's Bit of Whimsy and 365 Letters to my kids!"

Thank you to two dear customers and friends!

My good buddie Lorrie sent me this card as a thank you for getting some Vera Bradley bags on sale for her for her daughter. Isn't this sooo cute!! Thanks buddie!

Kim sent this darling card. She has ESP and could tell something was wrong with me. I have been very stressed by my mom's illness and then this past week my son has been having another bout of his "Mystery Illness". They both take their toll on me and Kim could sense something was wrong. Isn't this a darling card and isn't she a sweetie!
Thank you, Kim!!

Have you Smooched Yet!

I am soooo excited! I finally got my Inspired by Nature Stamp Set in! The reason I am so excited is because I saw a card similar to this on another Demo's site. I just loved the look of it but she used other supplies that were not SU including a stamp. The Inspired by Nature stamp that we sell was similar so it "inspired" me to copy and I ordered it! I used her design, but incorporated all Stampin' Up Products. Mine does not look nearly as nice as hers but I couldn't wait to try! It has been awhile since I have made anything due to a lot going on lately.
Supplies used:
Summer Sun Cardstock (retiring)
Old Olive Cardstock
Whisper White Cardstock
The Write Stuff Designer Paper
Summer Sun and Only Orange Corduroy Buttons- aren't they sooo cute!
I stamped this by using our wonderful markers. Summer Sun, Always Artichoke and Old Olive Markers were used. I edged the scallop circle with my Chocolate Chip Stampin' Spot- love those things!
Additional Materials used were Old Olive Striped Ribbon, Twine, Sizzix Scallop Circle Die.(We sell that too!)
All Products are by Stampin' Up and can be ordered on my site, HERE!
OOOPs, I forgot to add, I used our NEW Gold Glow Smooch Spray and Color Catcher! So at least one part of it was my idea!
