Stampin' Up! Advent Calendars Workshop! So much fun!

Today was the first of my Stampin' Up! Advent Calendar Workshops. I have another group coming in October too.

While they were busy working on their Christmas ones I whipped up a Halloween one. So much fun!

I pre-cut everything out for them. They used our Simply Scored Scoring Tool to do their scoring. Eveything else was precut and punched. I also used the Peekaboo Frames -Shelli's exclusive Stampin' Up Sizzix Die for the Peek-a-boo ones

Stamps used were  25 and Counting Stamp set and Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set
Paper used: Frostwood Lodge DSP, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Early Expresso Card Stock. A variety of punches were used. 

My Halloween One

I used Stampin' Up! Spooky Bingo Bits Stamp set and Batty for You Stamp Sets. 
Papers used: Frightful  Site Desiger Paper, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant and Basic Black Cardstock and a variety of punches. So much fun to make!

Oink Oink, I want to go to Founder's Circle!

Oh how I wish I was getting on an airplane to Utah today for Founder's Circle.  I worked my tail off this year 2010-2011 but did not earn it. My first 6 months with Stampin' Up, I earned Founder's Circle as Demonstrator of the Year #56 and also as Rising Star #2, AND a Cruise to Alaska. I did not earn anything from this year but I sure tried.  


I am sure none of this means anything to you, but what Founder's Circle is, is 5 days of pure pampering from Shelli Gardner, the CEO and Co-Founder of Stampin' Up!  in beautiful St. George, Utah.  The Top 100 demonstrators out of 40,00 are invited. I can't believe I earned that in my first half year with Stampin' Up! I didnt even know what it was when I earned it last year! It is based on your own personal Sales and how well your Team does during the year. I was ok with not earning the Disney Trip for this year, but oh, how I yearn to leave today for Utah!


 Well one thing I don't have to do is make the 135 cards for the Card Swap. However I was prepared and created this little guy in case I earned it.  I also used him for a few cards for Convention and for a Baggie Book Card Swap I was in. Here you go, "Oink, Oink"!

Well maybe next year. I won't give up.  To the wonderful girls that I met there last year~ Have Fun!  The friendships you form with Stampin' Up are so great!

A gift in the mail from my Upline, Mary Polcin!

Look what came in the mail! 

I am on Mary Polcin's Merry Rubbermaids Team and she sent some great surprises! Among them was a gift for coming in 2nd on her team in sales.

Lorrie's Beau Château Cards~ Beau Château Kit

You are in for such a treat today! My dear friend Lorrie purchased my Beau Chateau Card Kit and look what she made over the weekend with it! She still has plenty of supplies left! Besides putting me to shame with her gorgeous cards, check out the beautiful photography! These are sure to delight you! She used the supplies from my Beau Chateau Card Kit, but created her own gorgeous designs!

I met Lorrie on a MB about 2.5 years ago. She needed to order some White Craft ink and could not find it in the Catalog. We talked that night and hit it off and have been talking almost daily since! She always encourages me and in fact she suggested I make another Card Kit up since it had been quit awhile since I had made one. Thank you, Lorrie!

My dear friend, Lorrie turned me onto Pinterest. I joined to show my Stampin' Up!  cards but then have discovered that I am finding great recipes and home decor ideas!

I made Pulled Pork last night and Peanut Butter Cup Cookies. I thought I would share the cookie recipe with you.  Now these are a bit overdone because my son will get sick if they are undercooked. Next time I need to cook them less. I kept them in for about 11 minutes and the recipe called for 8 minutes.

Recipe:
Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk
40 miniature chocolate covered peanut butter cups, unwrapped

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F .

In a small bowl sift together the flour, salt and baking soda; set aside. In a large bowl cream together the butter, sugar, peanut butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg,
vanilla and milk. Slowly add the flour mixture; mix well (at this point you can store the dough in the refrigerator until you are ready to make the cookies). Shape the dough into approximately 40 balls and place each into an ungreased mini muffin pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately press a mini peanut butter cup into each ball. Cool and carefully remove from pan; the chocolate will be runny for several hours.

TIP: Freeze the peanut butter cups before inserting into the hot dough.

Stampin' Up Spice Cake Flower...Here is one for you, Shauna!!!

One of my sweet customers,Shauna,  loved this flower that I posted yesterday.

She commented on my FB post.

So  I am sending you one!!!

I made a beautiful post yesterday {here} on several items in the Spice Cake line but only heard back on FB comments and not on my blog:(

 I Really LOVE to hear your input and get your opinions.  I even asked questions about which looked better (with or without the flower on the box?)  and if anyone wanted to see a video??? I really do love hearing back from ya'all!!!

Anyway, Here is how I made the flower....

I cut the flower with Fun Flowers Sizzix Die

using Spice Cake Designer Paper

I inked the edges with a sponge using Soft Suede Ink

I stamped the sentiment from Tiny Tags and punched it with my Jewelry Tag Punch

I added some little Vintage trinkets and that is it!!

Who wants some Stampin' Up! Spice Cake!!

That is Stampin' Up! Spice Cake Designer Paper, Buttons and Fabric!


I absolutely LOVE our new Fall Colors. I am not an orangey person, so these colors, just make me so happy!


There are so many possibilities. Actually  this is a box! Yes, one of our little Craft Boxes. I covered the sides with 2 layers of Designer Paper and the top with 2 layers as well.  I used one of our large buttons and threaded our 1/8" Satin Ribbon through it. Then I cut a strip of our Spice Cake Fabric to tie around the top. The flower was made with our Fun Flowers Die.

Love these big buttons!! Here it is without the Flower. I actually made the Flower for a card and not the box. What do you think, With or Without the Flower?

This is my matching card. I actually made the flower for the card first and then put it on the box

I showed my little girl and she thinks the flower makes the card too busy. I think so too so I plan to revamp it

This is our Fabric. Isn't it gorgeous! I can't wait to make fabric flower pins!!
