What an incredible day! Today was the Naturalization Ceremony for our daughter who we adopted 12 years ago! We attended a beautiful and touching ceremony! Our son's was 12 years ago at age 2, but there was not a ceremony. Lots of tears today!
More tears! After the Ceremony we got news that some friends of ours finally were finally making it home with their child that is adopted from the same country that ours are from. Their newest little girl is almost 5 but it took 3 years to get her. We headed to the airport to greet them. She was so precious and immediately called my husband, "papa"! What a special day! It was her new mom that helped me with all the painstacking paper work we had to go through to make my daughter's Citizenship go through.
The fun just keeps continuing. Tonight my baby nephew ( I was 14 when he was born) who is in his 40's will be in town for business. I have not seen him in years. He is the oldest grandchild and my daughter is the youngest. They are at least 30 years apart in age!
My wonderful nephew, Dan and I!
Later....my son went back to school today and came home with an award for hard work and an outstanding attitude!
For those of you new to my site, I retired as a a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator
