Ahh, two weeks ago today we were in Juneau, Alaska. It also was the day my son turned 15! I ordered Pizza for breakfast in bed for him and let him stay in the cabin and veg while my husband, daughter and I went down to meet this really nice man and his wife for breakfast. We met Dan the first morning and then, Nancy and Dan every morning in the dining room.
Here are some highlights of our day in Juneau.
We did not arrive until 2 so prior to that we sailed through Tracy Arm Fjord. I have to honestly say this site was some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen.
We woke up to this:
Have you ever seen a prettier site? Our new friend, Nancy, and my daughter went to a Water Color painting class and my husband and son went to a class on the inner workings of the ship. I walked around and sat in the front of the ship and took in the sites. Here are so more photos.
We got off the ship when it docked and set out for an afternoon of exploring. We ran into Shelly and Olivia in Juneau, and spent the day with them. I met Shelly, a demonstrator from Kansas before we set sale. She is so sweet and we spent every evening going to shows with them. Her daughter is two years younger than mine and they became fast buddies.
The first tour we took was a bus to Mendenhall Glacier. We had a wonderful driver and a great tour. Here are some photos of the majestic scenery at one of our stops at a little church.

Here are photos of the Mendenhall Glacier and us hiking around there.
After the wonderful Glacier tour, we took the Mt. Roberts Tram from town. The scenery up here was beautiful. Here are some views from there.
We went back to the ship very tired. We had planned to eat dinner in Juneau for my son's birthday but it was getting near 9 pm and time to get back on the ship. The kids were too tired to eat so we brought them food from the buffet. Hope you enjoyed photos from our day!
