Stampin' Up Alaskan Cruise-Day 5, Skagway, Alaska!

Sorry I have been behind with posting. Busy, busy here with the end of the school year!
On Tuesday, May 24th we docked in Skagway, Alaska early in the morning. We had breakfast in the dining room with our new friends, Nancy and Dan. Later in the morning we walked into the darling town for an hour or so before our trainride to Whitehall Pass began. I forgot to mention, that the first night, I WON a ticket to this wonderful excursion and it was worth $120. I just had to buy 3 more tickets to it for my family but it was well worth it!

The town was fun. We even ran into David Canary {Adam Chandler from All My Children} !  I shouted out "Are you Adam Chandler!!??" and they took off!
Here are some photos of the town. It had a bit of Russian influence.

This is the train passing through town. We had to stop and wait a bit.

As we were boarding we ran into our wonderful new friends, Shelly and Olivia and they joined us for the 3 hour ride up to the top of the 3,000 foot glacier!

The ride up was gorgeous but the ride back was even better. We got to stand outside on this little balcony and the air was so invigorating. The balcony was small but we loved being out there. It was my most favorite excursion of all the Alaskan excursions we took.
