Getting Ready for Stampin' Up Founder's Circle Trip!

I am so honored to be going to Stampin' Up's Founder's Circle in Utah next week! Only about 135 are chosen out of over 4,000 demos so this came as quit a surprise to me!

The gifts keep coming from Stampin' Up!

Then the other day I got my travel tickets, tags , etc in this darling matching pouch.  How fun is that!

OK, here is the not so fun part. I have been working diligently for WEEKS making my 135 card fronts for my swaps! You see on one night we have a big pajama party and can swap out cards if we choose to. I was hesitant but my little girl did not want me to be left out and said she would help. Well she is so social and not around much to be of any help.

My wonderful customer, Patty came over to help me one day and my customer Kerry stopped by that  day to pay me and pitched in too. My awesome downline Evelyn, offered to help but I finished early with my little girl doing the gluing part with her tiny,little fingers. For the most part,  I did them on my own and what a chore, but this way I won't be left out on the Pajama Party Card Swap and get to bring home 135 card fronts, which will be great to get workshop ideas for!

Here they are all packed up in plastic containers and ready to go. They take up my entire carry on bag that they sent me .
I am the type that has to be ready before an event!! 

I will be sure to take photos while I am gone and share them when I get back.
Am I excited? Not yet.
Am I nervous? Very!!
Am I outgoing and friendly? VERY!
But I am also VERY shy when I am in a large group of people who already know each other!!

Oh I forgot to add, the best part that I am so excited about, is I get to meet Bridget Lopez , my blogging and message board friend! She is coming to the airport to meet me for about 5 minutes before I have to catch a bus!  I am so excited! I love that girl!! Too bad she can't bring her 4 boys with her!!

Last Weeks' Workshop

How can something so mundane make me so excited??
It is the greatest thing, since sliced bread and I bet you could even slice bread with it!

Stampin' Up! Owl Card

I just LOVE my Stampin' Up Owl Punch!!
I made this card for my wonderful upline, Mary P. In Wisconsin.

I placed "him" on a 4x4 Card made of Certainly Celery Cardstock embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder.
Then scalloped a square with the Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die, embossed that with the gorgeous Finial Press Embossing Folder. I used Pink Piroutte Cardstock.
Owl is made of Soft Suede and Pretty in Pink Cardstock and made with our new 2 Step Owl Punch.
He sits on a circle punched from the 1 3/4 Circle Punch on Certainly Celery and then on a Soft Suede Scallop Circle ( large one).
Dots are made from our white Signo Gel Pen
All finished off with a Pretty in Pink 5/8" Satin Ribbon laced through the slots by using the Horizontal Slot Punch

Bugs and Kisses!

Another Oldie but Goodie! We made these little babies at my workshop last week. I am so into small square cards lately! I  think that size is so cute!

Here is another one that I made for a friend's birthday, shhhh! I used Greenhouse Gala Designer Paper for the background in this one. Love that paper stack!

Some of the bugs are cut out and popped with Stampin' Dimensionals. Aren't those little things great!

A bit of Whimsy! S' More Fun Workshop

That's me, anything whimsical I love! Here are some close ups of the projects we did at my workshop last week, only I re-did some of them.

The first is the S'more Card. I got this idea from my customer, Lori U. We did these at my workshop and then my little girl said, mom you should have done these like a square. I also redid them on Crumb Cake Card stock and added the textured dots to it to make the entire card look like a Graham Cracker.

Ingredients:

I just love this stamp set called Under the Stars. The little bear is so darling and you can do sooo many things with him. I made this card to be used for a friend. Have you tried Confetti White Cardstock yet? What are you waiting for? It is thick and stiff and has these darling little specks in it. Love it!

The word "Friend" on the front and inside of the card is from the stamp set called Fabulous Phrases


It ended up that one of my dear friends could not make it to the workshop, do to being hospitalized. I sent her the card I made.

Happy Special Day!!!

Today is a very special day! 14 years ago today, my husband and I boarded a plane to travel to another country to adopt our 8 week old son. Oh my gosh, it was one of the best days of my life! I had never seen such a cute baby!! I was totally in love. Tons of loose black ringlets, tiny rosebud lips, chubby cheeks, chubby legs, chubby everything, the most giant eyes I had ever seen (until we adopted our little girl) and the most gorgeous skin ever! We bonded instantly!
What a joyous day it was. We celebrate it every year like a birthday but now that he is 14 I am waiting for him to wake up!!!
