Make and Takes from the Stampin' Up Alaskan Cruise!  We were so lucky to get our In Color Inks and Papers as a gift from Stampin' Up!
We got our packets on the Cruise but I was really dizzy that day so just took mine home. Here it is, one month later and I am finally making them. Nothing like crafting to make you feel better!
At first I was not sure how I felt about our NEW 2011-2012 IN Colors but after working with them, I am in LOVE with them!
Here are some samples:

Pinwheel Card

Just for Fun Mini Album but I made a card instead

And a left over little Scrappy Card. I can't wait to get some of the In Color Designer Series Paper so I can add more layers to this card!

Aren't these colors so YUMMY! They really go well together. The nice thing is they will be in for 2 years starting July 1st!

Stampin' Up Alaskan Cruise- Back in Seattle

Before and after the Cruise we spent a few days in Seattle. I love that place. Here are some fun photos.

The Bubble Gum Wall!

The Aquarium

Pikes Market

We had a Shuttle ordered to return to the airport but a Limo showed up. The kids loved it.

Good Bye Seattle and Alaska and Victoria, Canada. We had the most memorable trip ever.

Thank you, Stampin' Up! We have been home two weeks today, but I miss our trip greatly.  I can't wait to see what the 2013 Trip from Stampin' Up is. I did not earn the 2012 trip to Disney but hope to earn wherever 2013 destination is. Stampin' Up spoils us rotten!  Thank you to my customers to helping me earn the Alaskan Cruise in my first year as a demonstrator!

Stampin' Up Alaskan Cruise-Day 7- Victoria, Canada!

Victoria, Canada! Wow I love that place! My husband and I went there about 19 years ago and fell in love with this place.

We docked at about 6 pm. We took a bus into town and then got out and walked around for a bit through the Empress Hotel and gardens.

Then we got aboard a top level bus with an open top. It as fun at first but then got very cold as the sun went down. Here are a few pictures from the top of the bus.

Canada is very clean and beautiful. After our tour we ate in China Town and it was the best food I tasted all week. I loved our Cruise food but this food was so crisp and fresh. We walked back into town to catch our bus to the dock with a really sweet girl named Debbie and her husband.

I am going to miss the great friends we made. Breakfast with Dan and Nancy each day was so wonderful. Excursions and shows with Shelly and Olivia were so much fun.

Thank you, Stampin' Up for an incredible trip!!!

P.S. Stay tuned, after our trip we went back to Seattle again and spent two more days there! More photos to come!

Stampin' Up Alaskan Cruise-Day 6 Breakfast Buffet and Formal Night

Hi again,
Wednesday, May 25th was another day at sea. For some reason I did not feel very well and slept most of the day. I do not get sea sick but was so overcome with sleep and dizziness. My son was sea sick that day and my daughter a bit so we had a quiet day.
This was the special brunch we attended in the morning. Even with all that food, I still had what I ordered daily, a bagel, cream cheese and salmon- yum!

We did get up and go to formal night. We excused our teenage son from dressing up and let him stay in and watch the Mav's game on the tv. My husband, daughter and I joined some of our table mates for dinner.

I ordered the Lobster. Sorry but I had already started eating before I shot the photo.

My husband had the Pork Chop. My daughter's meal was not picture worthy. She had a hot dog and a Caesar Salad.

Here are our wonderful waiters. Maria and Sudi!

Our waiters serving our table the Baked Alaska. They wanted to make sure we took a piece back to the room for my son. Prior to that all the waiters and waitresses had the Baked Alaska parade and we swung our napkins and cheered for our waiters. It was so much fun.

I had lost 15 pounds before we went and was surprised that I only gained about 2-3 with all the food I ate. I think it was all the walking because when I came back I could wear a size smaller jeans! Hmmm, maybe I better cruise more often. The problem is I am back home and eating alot and not walking like I was on the Cruise!

Stay tuned for our next stop, Victoria Canada!!

Stampin' Up Alaskan Cruise- Day 3 Ketchikan!!

What a really neat site to wake up to! I woke up very, very early on Sunday morning as we were slowly pulling into Ketchikan, Alaska. We slowly pulled in as the town was waking up. It was so neat to lay in bed in our cabin and look through our balcony window at what was going on in town. We were docked from 7am to 4 pm. I loved this place and could move here!

This is what it looked like before 7 am as we were slowly pulling in. I woke up to a very loud noise and thought they were birds chirping but it was the kids next  door shouting at the top of their lungs. I guess they were excited but at 6 am, it was not a nice sound. However the town was gorgeous and here it is at early dawn. Can you imagine how peaceful it would be without those "chirping bird children"!

This is the incredible view from our stateroom balcony!

View of our ship from town

My husband and kids

Here is the gorgeous town

I just love all the colorful buildings. When I walked around I was reminded of the show, Northern Exposure

Walking through town was exhilarating

This is a photo from town. So pretty! Click on it to enlarge, please

Check out this background scenery!

View from the Tram. This tram was only $8 for our whole family!

My little sweeties! This was up at the top of the area where the tram took us

Hope you enjoyed the views The scenery was just beautiful. We stopped for lunch at a place called Annabelle's but it was not very good.  Back on to the ship at about 4. We had a nice dinner and then a great show that night. Stay tuned for Monday in Juneau!
