Simply Sunday~ Sharing a great SOUP RECIPE!

Thanks for stopping by my Simply Sunday! I love Stampin' Up! Blogs but I find most of them don't have anything other than crafting and I think it would be fun to share other things once a week, even though I am addicted to crafting!

Today I want to share with you a recipe I found from a really great lady named Pam. Her blog is called For the Love of Cooking. I found her recipe here: http://fortheloveofcooking-recipes.blogspot.com/2011/10/creamy-chicken-potato-and-veggie-soup.html

I LOVE making soup! I made this on Thursday, left it on the stovetop to simmer and took the pups for a walk. When I came in, I had a few bowls and whew, it is still hot in Texas, but this would be great for a cold wintery day.

First let me show you some photos along the way.
Yum Fingerling potatoes cooking in butter and olive oil with onions. I could eat those and skip making the soup, but I went on! I never heard of Fingerlings before and they sure are strange looking!

Yum, Potatoes, Onions, Carrots and Celery. It called for a bit of Garlic but I doubled it. We love cooking with Garlic. Our neighbors once called us the Garlics instead of the Gornicks- our last name.

Hmm, now Milk, Chicken Broth, Roasted Chicken, seasonings and Broccoli are added. Looking good but PLEASE check out Pam's photos as you know how great photos look on Food Blogs!
Pam is probably thinking this photo looks awful, but wait to you see her photo below!

This is the wonderful photo from her Love of Cooking Blog! Please be sure to check out Pam's site. She is a great cook and a very sweet blogger! She even comments on my card posts!
This is the link for her Blog: http://fortheloveofcooking-recipes.blogspot.com/ but her soup link is above. I love meeting people in Bloggyland!

As always, thank you for stopping by, but first before you go, as always, I love comments sooooo, please tell me what your favorite homemade soup is, please!!!!

Looks very yummy!! My favorite home made soup is any that I do not have to cook myself! I must confess...I don't enjoy cooking, but I love to eat!!

Hi Barb, this soup looks absolutely dilicious. I'll have to give it a try now that the weather is cooling down to the mid 80's lol. My fav is the Dutch ham and slip pea soup. My hubby normally makes this soup and I always get him to make a big pot so I can freeze a couple of meals and dig them out at a time when I'm feeling lazy or spent way too much time in my craft room :-)
