Stampin Up Founder's Circle 2010~Day 1 Headed to St. George, Utah

Day 1- Founder's Circle
Vegas Airport! I didn't play. I did not have time to get a ticket and that is what the machine took.

Oh, I got to meet one of my favorite bloggers, Briget Lopez! She came to the airport in Vegas to meet me for ten minutes. I just love that girl! This was a great highlight of the trip for me!

From Vegas we hopped on a bus to St. George. I met the sweetest girl at the Dallas airport and then the sweetest Canadian girls on our bus to St. George. Here is a photo from the bus.  I kept telling the driver, it was so pretty and he said, "this is ugly, wait until you get closer".  ( need to get photo later!)

Here we are in St. George. When you walk in the hospitality room it is all done up as a darling old fashioned Candy Shoppe! Really cute! Actually these jars are filled with buttons and ribbons but later in the hospitality room there were candy jars filled with real candy to much on daily!

Here are the candy apples. I never ate all of mine. It is still in the refrigerator at the hotel!

When we got there, we were given our name tags with a scarf on it. My scarf was white and I had to find 7 others with white scarves. They were to be my dinner mates and team mates for our final event. Our group was called the Paper Daisies. Here is our center piece. I don't have a photo of the table but it was decorated in a 50's theme.

This is my placemat. We had the chance to sit where we wanted wanted at the table. I was the first one there and could have chosen, the pink, white, black or red glasses and I chose the red ones!
Our placemat was an album cover! Clever huh!

Here is one of the groups tables. ours was a a pink cloth but we all had silky polka dot napkins under our placemats. Isn't it sooo pretty!

Here are my sweet Team Mates: Debbie, Megan, Jackie, Jenny, Wendy, Jill, Me, and Sandy. What a fun group of ladies! Jill and I spent quite a bit of time together on the trip and I got to know the others too!

This is our yummy dinner! I was "dieting" so only ate the crust on the Beef Wellington and nothing else on the plate. I should have realized by the end of the week, I would be eating so I should have enjoyed it and ate it all ! Preceding dinner was the most wonderful Butternut Squash soup that I only tried a little of to save calories. I wish I had some now, as I ended up gaining 3, yes 3 pounds from Wed-Sat!! Ugh!  We also had the most wonderful Wedge Salad, I just love those I nibbled on that too. I didn't even touch the potatoes or rice/veggies and they look so yummy!  Oh I would eat the whole thing RIGHT now if I could,.... then go back to my "diet".
Check out the "SU" on the pastry!!!

These were our door tags! This is an actual album!

Dinner was fun.
Later that night when we went back to our rooms we got this wonderful "Pillow"Gift!
It was packaged in the cutest box. Inside were 4 stamp pads AND  a new punch AND a new stamp set AND my fav ribbon, the 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain. Yummy ribbon!  What a generous gift! These were items we could use on our Make and Takes that were down in the Hospitality room.
I can't show the Stamp Set or the Punch because it won't be coming out until the Spring Mini but oh I just know you will love it!!

Be sure to check out Shelli's blog at: http://www.soshelli.com/ I am the short one in the back in the purple shirt. On Pajama photo I am on the far right, a few rows back.

Stay tuned for Day Two!

Looks like a great time Barb. I read Shelli's blog too and found you in both pictures you were in. Did you do the Wii bowling and the cheer?
